Hann Highway
Fully sealing the Hann Highway would be a game-changer for transporting freight.
The Hann Highway is a more direct and efficient route for transporting freight between North Queensland and southern states.
The highway will reduce the distances between Far North Queensland towns and Melbourne by more than 500 km. The Hann Highway also has the benefit of reducing freight traffic on the Bruce Highway and stimulating economic activity in western Queensland.
Approximately $40 million is required to fully seal the highway.
KAP wants state and federal funding made available to seal the remaining parts of the highway.
