Robbie Katter, State Member for Traeger

• Completed an on-site visit to a far north cattle station
• Briefed the Legal Affairs and Community Safety Committee on his Blue Card Bill
• Attended a special screening of the “Dying to Live” documentary which is about the need for more organ donors in Queensland. Increasing donation rates is one of the KAP’s policies
• Met with Western Rivers Alliance members to discuss the future of Queensland channel country river systems
• Met with a number of Ministers to advance issues in his electorate, including police numbers and flights

Shane Knuth, State Member for Hill

• Attended the celebration of the 20th anniversary of Tinaroo Rural Firebrigade.
• Attended the Malanda Small Farms Field Day and officially launched the latest Tablelands AgTech company Farm Doctors.
• Lest We Forget – attended the Millaa Millaa Remembrance day, 100 years since the end of the WW1.
• Attended and presented awards to Tully State High School annual speech night.
• Caught up with Chairman Alan Parker from Burdekin District Canegrowers in Parliament – one of many instrumental canegrowers who lobbied strongly for growers to be able to choose who markets their sugar.
• Raised the issue of commercial fishermen and whether their intellectual rights, locations, times and dates would be protected under mandatory VMS. This is a major concern.
• Raised in Parliament the issue of the Government and its attack on the agricultural industry – particularly the funding cut to School to Industry Partnership Program  from next year.
• I questioned the Minister why the road along Kennedy Hwy through Tolga Scrub is still in a dangerous state of disrepair, causing damage to vehicles from potholes and rough surfaces – despite TMR promising to road would be repaired numerous times since the beginning of 2018.
• Held various constituent meetings in the Hill Electorate Office.
• Attended the RSL Gala Dinner in Malanda.
• Proudly assisted with the launch of KAP Federal Candidate for Herbert Nanette Radeck in Townsville.
• Met with representatives of the Minister for Main Roads along with Tablelands road construction contractors to discuss discrimination toward local contractors in favour of road tenders from southern states and as far away as WA.

Nick Dametto, State Member for Hinchinbrook

• Attended the Australasian Study of Parliament Group end of year event in Brisbane last Monday night.
• Attended the Queensland Parliamentary Friends of Cricket Launch, asked a Question Without Notice to Queensland Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk about bolstering the government’s Veterans employment pathway program and called on the State Government to phase out low quality, regular unleaded petrol in favour of E10 during a speech in parliament on Tuesday.
• Attempted to seek leave of the house to move a motion without notice in order to debate his disallowance motion on a draconian regulation which will enforce the use of tracking systems on fishing vessels.
• Joined with Traeger MP Robbie Katter, Hill MP Shane Knuth and Kennedy MP Bob Katter in welcoming the KAP’s new candidate for Herbert Nanette Radeck during her campaign launch in Townsville on Friday.
