Katter’s Australian Party (KAP) Deputy Leader and Hinchinbrook MP Nick Dametto has slammed the Palaszczuk Labor Government for refusing to take any responsibility over the industry-destroying intervention it has taken in relation to the State’s mismanaged Spanish mackerel fishery.
Katter’s Australian Party (KAP) Deputy Leader and Hinchinbrook MP, Nick Dametto said the Minister for Agricultural Industry Development and Fisheries Mark Furner needed to stop messing with the livelihood of commercial Spanish mackerel fishers.
Commercial mackerel fishers have been left in the dark after the Minister for Agricultural Industry Development and Fisheries, Mark Furner failed to come clean in Parliament this week on looming Spanish mackerel quota reductions which may come into effect July 1.
