Bob Katter, Federal Member for Kennedy

  • Attended the National Drought Summit in Canberra
  • Spent the day in Hughenden speaking with constituents about community concerns
  • Attended the Hughenden Irrigation Project Meeting with over 100 people to discuss the project
  • Attended Hughenden State School’s assembly and presented the Australian Flag to their school
  • Attended the Twilight markets in Charters Towers

Robbie Katter, State Member for Traeger

  • Robbie was in Parliament this week
  • He did a media interview with magazine Big Rigs with regards to the new driver fatigue laws
  • Attended Pharmacy Guild of Australia Annual Dinner
  • He had a Paul Murray live panel appearance
  • And has a weekend with St Joseph’s School Fair, Northern Outback Business Awards and horse races in Cloncurry


Shane Knuth, State Member for Hill

  • Attended the Innisfail Good Counsel College Annual Awards Presentation last night.
  • Spoke about the protection of coal miners and support for their families who have suffered through Black Lung.
  • Enjoyed the good music, food and catching up with the locals at Yungaburra Markets and Tablelands Folk Festival.
  • Attended the the 2018 Queensland Country Credit Union North Queensland Sportstar Awards held at Mission Beach.
  • Caught up with constituents at Mission Beach Markets.
  • Attended an event with Robbie Katter MP by Pharmacy Guild of Australia celebration of 90 years representing our local chemists.
  • In Parliament Shane called on the Government to stop wasting money and upgrade and seal the Herberton Petford Road to Irvinebank, rather than using wasteful ‘band-aid’ tactics.
  • Attended the Ravenshoe State School P-12 presentation night. Big congratulations to the students teachers and staff.
  • Question the Minister over why TMR gives priority to the lowest offer for road maintenance, rather than quality local tenders who know the conditions and weather. Shane asked the minister to commit to meeting with local stakeholders to identify barriers and develop a policy which ensures locals have equal opportunity to secure road maintenance contracts.


Nick Dametto, State Member for Hinchinbrook

  • Played the house down representing Country against City at Monday’s Parliamentary Friends of Rugby League game in Brisbane.
  • Stood up for the coal mining industry against green groups in a passionate speech in parliament on Wednesday
  • Advocated for a phase-out of low quality regular unleaded fuel in favour of E10 alternatives in a Question Without Notice to Energy Minister Anthony Lynham in parliament on Thursday and put a Question on Notice to Police Minister Mark Ryan calling for additional funding for police liaison officers to chaperone students on school bus runs to stop bullying.
  • Celebrated the first day of operations for MAMS Group’s Container Refund Scheme this morning before helping out at Ingham Subway’s World Sandwich Day that afternoon
