KENNEDY MP Bob Katter has awarded the Palaszczuk Government an “Academy Award” for hypocrisy as the Queensland Resources Council (QRC) launches a campaign against the new royalties regime.
Despite heady estimates of a peak 45,000 renewable energy jobs across Australia by the mid-2020s, the sector is still only delivering Queenslanders a few hundred full-time jobs.
WHILE Kennedy MP Bob Katter remains sceptical about Queensland’s transition and the reliance on renewable energy, he welcomed parts of the Premier’s announcement for a new “super hub” near Hughenden, west of Townsville.
The North West region can still hold high hopes for the continued progression of the Hughenden Irrigation Project (HIPCo) following recent comments made by Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk.
There will be no “green” in Queensland’s hydrogen future if the Palaszczuk and Albanese Labor Governments do not settle on a start-date for the construction of game-changing CopperString 2.0 project, Katter’s Australian Party Leader and Traeger MP Robbie Katter has said.
